The Mysterious Treasure of the Unlucky Pirate

Wapping, London and Tilbury, Essex, England (map) Dated: 1645 - 1701
Back in the 17th and 18th centuries, many pirates roamed the seas in search of treasure and adventure. They were often ruthless men and many came to an unfortunate end on the gallows. But few were as unlucky, or unwise, as Captain William Kidd, the pirate who inspired the legend of the buried treasure.
