Halloween Story Competition

Use StoryCreator 2 to create a Halloween story for our competition. You can win one of two Flip Mino DV Cameras.

About the competition

The competition closes at midnight GMT on Friday the 14th November 2008.
To enter the competition you must be aged between 7 and 13.

What to do:

1. Create your story; you can use all of the features of StoryCreator 2 including sound, recording and uploading your own pictures or just type, it’s up to you.


2. Save your story (if you have not already joined, you will need to Join first – it’s quick and free)


3. Submit your story using the “Submit to the Halloween Competition” Button on
   the Submit page in StoryCreator 2.


4. You will be asked to fill in a short form:

   • Your age
   
   
   • An email address that we can use to contact an adult (teacher, parent or carer). We will use this to get in touch if you win.

All the Halloween stories will be reviewed and if accepted published on the website in the Halloween Story Category.
The competition will close at midnight GMT on Friday the 14th of November 2008, and the judges will announce the winner here on this page of the Myths and Legends website on Friday the 28th November 2008.

What are the judges looking for?

1. A good Halloween story! Creative, interesting and exciting.
2. Good use of StoryCreator 2, well made scenes that fit with the story text.

Rules:

• These rules include any instructions set out in the terms of the competition. By entering the competition, the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and instructions and to agree to be bound by them.
  
• The competition is open to anyone aged between 7 and 13 anywhere in the World
  
• There will be 2 judging categories, ages 7-10 and 11-13
  
• The Judges’ decision is final
  
• Only one entry per person is allowed.
  
• If you upload your own sound or images then you must ensure that you don’t use copyright material (pictures or sound taken off the web without permission). We cannot publish copyright material.
  
• All entries must include valid age and adult email address contact details (added in a short form when the story is submitted).
  
• Proof of submission of story is not proof of our receipt of entries. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost.
  
• No cash alternative or alternative prize is available on entrant’s request, but, in the event of the advertised competition prize being unavailable, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
